On a yearly basis, I work with a limited number of 1:1 clients in custom intensives. It’s part singing, it’s part creating your life.
It goes something like this:
Come. We will sing together. We will make music together. And your life will change.
The voice is the portal, and the transformation is deep. Because my clients bring it.
My clients are FUN. She challenges herself deeply to grow, and has massive visions for herself and the world. She works a certain amount of irony, and likes it that way.
She’s inherently musical in spirit and relates to creative arts, and the many places they can be applied, with delight and curiosity.
My clients are game-changers.
Powerful game-changers.
And perhaps most importantly…
She creates with masterful ease.
But…sometimes, she’s overwhelmed by her vision. She’s secretly insecure at some of the most inconvenient of times. She gets frustrated when she feels like she can’t create fast enough, and she’s challenged to reach out for help on the deepest of levels. She feels this contraction and contradiction in herself acutely in her body. She’s her own worst-critic, and although she recognizes this, sometimes she feels powerless to move through it.
My clients dream vividly of creative masterpieces – things that have never been done before. Visions that would take her far and wide, within herself and around the world. She aspires in inspire.
She’s ready to have an impact – in a big way. In a deeply authentic way.
She’s ready to be seen. And heard.
She has this irrational fear that haunts her late at night that she won’t ever succeed, and she fears that she’ll never take the next step to change her current reality to the level of game she knows she’s capable of playing.
She’s petrified of living a life of normal excellence – a life that anyone from the outside might call successful, but she secretly knows she’s leaving something big on the shelf.
And she kind of also has this fantasy that one day she’ll just arrive. That one day she’ll be [thin enough] [pretty enough] [wealthy enough] [accomplished enough] [you-get-the-picture enough] to be worthy of the Success Gods shining down on her and opening the way. (She doesn’t want to admit that she has this fantasy, of course. It just kind of lurks there hoping not to go unnoticed.)
And yet…
My clients come to me already successful. They’re wildly successful in their creative babies, in their professional lives, and in their relationships. They’re honest with themselves and the people in their lives.
They’re also realizing that their current reality no longer serves them at the deepest level. They’re ready to tap into that part of them they’ve been carrying around inside for years, the genius of who they really are and how they’re here to serve. And they find that when they decide, they create miracles.
